Winter Arts Market 2013

Open Culture are hosting another event before Christmas in Liverpool where I am showing new work for purchase. I will have prints and a stretched canvas from my travels in Europe to Finland and Estonia where Christmas markets are a customary part of the season; along with subterranean landscapes from Monaco and images from Bhutan that emphasise art and craft traditions in the Himalayas. Some of these images work well as Christmas cards, which will be on sale:

Wells Art Contemporary Exhibition

One of my favourite images entitled: 'Hommage Sororales II' has been accepted for exhibition in the 2013 Wells Art Contemporary Open at:

City of Wells Museum, 8 Cathedral Green, Wells BA5 2UE

11-19 October 2013, 10-5pm daily

This is a conceptual study and comprises the second in a series of three images reflecting a poet's personal narrative over time. The prizes for this exhibition were announced and awarded at a private view on 10 October, 2013

Art in the Park and on the Railings, Buxton

I will be in Buxton this weekend, taking part in the Fringe Festival events by showing some images I took in a subterranean grotto in Monaco this April. These images capture natural sculptures underground in many varied formations.

The theme seems to fit well with Poole's Cavern, Buxton that is hosting a production of Shakespeare's Hamlet this Festival.

National Photography Symposium, Liverpool

Hosted by Redeye, this one day event located in the Bluecoat Gallery space coincided with the opening of LOOK/13, Liverpool International Photography Festival and was a complete success in my view! Well done Redeye, what a great resource for photographers in the NorthWest!!

Spent a fantastically stimulating week with Nick Danziger and Rory MacLean in Monaco exploring the creative art of story making using images and words.  I can only describe this as an inspirational experience - the spontaneity of the group is captured here by Nick's photo, which I think we all agreed was the best! This intimate workshop propelled me forward in my personal quest to capture and portray individual stories with my own lens. Thank you so much!
