Independents Liverpool Biennial

The independent strand of the Liverpool Biennial festival of contemporary art, which runs from 15th September until 25th November 2012

The Independents is one of the largest and most exciting contemporary visual arts festivals in the UK, with an exhibitions programme that runs in parallel to the Liverpool Biennial. The Independents is an open access contemporary art event that showcases young blood and emerging new talent alongside established international artists.  These artists often create new work specifically for the Independents Festival, which throws up unexpected and genuine surprises in extraordinary and often unusual venues.

Buxton Art Trail 2012

On 7th and 8th July 2012, Buxton will host its second art trail as part of the Buxton Festival Fringe.

Buxton Art Trail will be taking place during the first weekend of the Buxton Festival Fringe. Lovers of visual arts will be seen flitting around Buxton, sampling the work of over 70 artists. Buxton Festival and Fringe-goers alike will enjoy an eye-opening experience. The Trail is a recent addition to the growing number of events in the ever-popular Buxton Festival Fringe, the largest UK fringe after Edinburgh.

Painters, printmakers, illustrators, photographers and craftspeople, both professional and amateur will be among those on hand to discuss their work. Some will be exhibiting in their own studios, others in the homes and business premises of people who are generously providing space to support the visual arts in Buxton.

I will be displaying a small selection of framed images in Louise Jannetta's studio: www.louisejannetta.co.uk during the Buxton Fringe Festival: www.buxtonfringe.org.uk A number of mounted prints will also be available for purchase.
